Todd is a cryptocurrency industry enthusiast with experiences that began in the year 2010 and has contributed to both the Bitcoin Core and he is also OpenTimestamps founder. The leak is derived from the videos available on X (earlier Twitter) channel of @theblockcitizen where Todd seems to talk about his part in the earliest phase of Bitcoin.
Nearly at the end of the movie, Cullen Hoback says that Todd could be Nakamoto according to certain logs and posts in the forums of Bitcoin. Also in a message, that Hoback said he got from Todd, he stated that Todd deleted the only door through which he could get to the 1.1 million Bitcoin, which he accused Nakamoto of possessing. Bitcoin developer, however, denied such claims through a statement, where he called the theory ridiculous and said that Hoback was searching for an explanation wherever he could.
